Slow down

Wow, life has been so crazy lately, where do I even begin?!
It seems I've been waiting for things in life to start happeneing for such a long time, and now that they finally are happeneing, it's going much to fast. But nontheless, I am so happy God is granting my prayers, and in the short amount of time since my last post, he has given my a job of working at a local buisness serving ice cream (yay!), given me means of getting my dream camera that I've been praying about for years, and on April 7th I will be taking my drivers test, and getting my license. Not to mention I am coming into my last year of school this year, and soon I will be graduated and able to move away from home and persue a career. Ah! So wonderfully crazy! =) I am also going to post some of my recent photos from my "adventures" on the farm, Enjoy!

I got to go fishing for the first time this year, and the pond was just as pretty as I remember! ^

Babies!!!!

Today while doing school, Mom rushed in and told me my sheep, Queen Latifa, that I got from Lisa Rodenfels ( http://somerhillfarm.blogspot.com/ ) had lambs! I was so excited, and they didn't disappoint! Still wet from all those wonderful birthing fluids, there was one ram and one ewe; they are so tiny, and so precious. I took a few pictures, while they were still wet, so I thought everyone would like to see. Now all I have to do is pick names, and get them registered! :)

The little ram. Mom said he "had a face only a mother could love", but I happen to think he's the cutest one!:) ^

Love is in the air

Well today is Valentines Day, and I have already eaten all my chocolates :( hehe...
This is always a kind of strange holiday for me, and I might understand it more if I read up on the meaning, but of coarse I am much to lazy to do that! But anyways, I just wanted to let everyone know that I love you all soooo much, and I hope you enjoy the holiday!

...Translation please?

Last summer, I went to C-HOP (Cleveland House Of Prayer) with a group of friends. While I was there, they did something very interesting with a bible verse. They took a verse and then focused on it intensely, word by word. Through doing this, it allows you to see new meaning of the verse, or see it in a new way that you previously didn't see. It's actually quite fun, as well as challenging. The way they did it there was this: they found synonym for every word (or pair of words, it works better for words like "the" "I" or "in", ect.) And then every so often as the text would allow, we would paraphrase each part in different as to try to and grasp different meanings. I'm going to try it on here, try and follow along if you’re interested! =)

(I'm going to use Psalm 145:2)

"Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom."

• Now I'm going to take the first word, Every. Other words for this include: Each, & all.

• The second word is day. Words for this are: Daylight, daytime, & date.

• [I] Will: Determination, resolve, motivation, spirit, force, strength of character, self-control.

• Praise: Admire, commend, extol, honor, & eulogize.

• You: (It is in terms of speaking about God) King, father, God, Jesus, leader or all, divinity, Holy one, creator, Alpha, & Omega.

• [And] Extol: (similar to praise) Admire, exalt, worship, honor, & eulogize.

• [your] Name: Title, & what you’re known as.

• For ever and ever: Everlastingly, eternally, evermore, perpetually, ceaselessly, without end, & constantly.

Now we have our first sentence!!! Paraphrasing is the most enjoyable part (to me), so lets get to it =)

"Each and every time of day, my strength of character and spirit is determined to worship you, my Father God who is the creator and leader or all, and to honor and exalt your name perpetually and without end, evermore."
(Wow! What a powerful sentence!!!!!! =D )

• Now using this technique, I also have:

"Immense and vast is the Father God, and is above all else admirable and valuable of honor, worship and praise; of his magnitude and extent, not a soul in earth is capable of comprehending."

• Putting it together:

"Each and every time of day, my streangth of charctacter and spirit is determind to worship you, my Father God who is the creator and leader or all, and to honor and exalt your name perpetually and without end, evermore. Immense and vast is the Father God, and is above all else admirable and valuable of honor, worship and praise; of his magnitude and extent, not a soul in earth is capable of comprehending."

>> I do not know about you, but this just makes me want to worship until I completely lose my voice!!! =) <<

Brand new!

So once again, I find myself sitting here with nothing particular on my mind.

Although as I am writing this, I realized that the coming of this New Year has also brought an end to a part of my life; I have rounded the bend, as the saying goes. This reminds me of a game me and my younger brother used to play when we were younger. We used to make it a rule, that whenever we drove through a tunnel, we have to hold our breath until we get through to the other end. We were so proud of ourselves if we made it through, and slightly embarrassed if we couldn't. I always remember seeing the end of the tunnel- lungs burning- and letting out a silent cry of relief in my head. This feels like the point in my life, the part where I see the end of the tunnel and let out my hurrah; I've made it! Not that I didn't think I would make it, but of coarse, at times this house seemed a more desolate place than is fair to say. But now, (as I have realized I will indeed make it, and finish strong), I see that time has gone by to quickly, and I have rounded a bend in my life. 2009 brought so many things for me. I stopped looking at what I could get, and more of what I could give. I learned that temptation is easy to defeat in your head, but not so in your heart. I saw that love is easily found, but so much harder to hold onto. I discovered an intense, and passionate love for the arts; photography and drawing especially. I now know that driving is not something pleasurable by any means, although unfortunately it is necessary. Though above all, I have witnessed that there is no satisfaction in anything that is not of God or his pure love.

So here's to 2009 and all the things I learned in it, adios!!!
